Who We Are
Riley Operating Partners helps growing businesses turn operational strain into clarity, direction, and momentum. When priorities compete and decisions stall, we bring the strategic clarity, operational structure, and hands-on leadership needed to move the work forward.
Here’s what sets us apart: we operate, we don’t just advise. In some engagements, that means owning how operations run day-to-day. In others, it means leading a single critical initiative. Sometimes it means thinking alongside your leadership team to make the right calls. The focus stays the same – put the right structure in place, define ownership, and build systems your team can actually use.
And we build those systems around your people. Not rigid frameworks that look good on paper and break down in practice. Real structure, shaped around how your team thinks, works, and gets things done.

Maggie Riley
Founder & Operating Partner
Maggie Riley is the Founder and Operating Partner of Riley Operating Partners, where she partners with founders, executives, and leadership teams to create organizations where strategy, systems, and people work together.
As a Fractional COO, executive advisor, and organizational strategist, Maggie helps businesses navigate growth, complexity, operational strain, and transition. Her work focuses on creating clarity where priorities compete, strengthening ownership where accountability is unclear, and building the structure needed for sustainable execution.
She draws on experience across Fortune 500 organizations, founder-led businesses, professional services, legal services, technology, research, wellness, and executive coaching environments. That range gives her both strategic perspective and hands-on operational leadership. Her work has supported leaders and teams at every level of an organization – from technicians and frontline employees to founders, executives, and senior leadership teams – helping create the clarity, communication, accountability, and alignment needed to move organizations forward.
Maggie is known for quickly identifying root causes, simplifying complexity, and creating practical paths forward. She combines strategic thinking with grounded execution. And she believes the most effective organizations are built around the realities of the people doing the work, not rigid systems that look good on paper but fail in practice.
Beyond operational leadership, Maggie provides executive advisory and coaching for leaders navigating significant business and life transitions. She’s passionate about helping people find clarity during uncertainty and building businesses that support both organizational success and human well-being.
Her core belief is simple: businesses should support the lives of the people who build them, not consume them. Through Riley Operating Partners, she helps leaders create organizations that are operationally sound, strategically aligned, and capable of thriving without depending on a single person to hold everything together.
The Riley Team
Engagements are led directly by Maggie Riley. We bring together experienced operators and specialized partners, matched to the needs of each engagement.
That means you always have a clear, accountable lead for your engagement – someone responsible for the strategy, communication, and quality of the work. When the scope calls for it, the right operating partner or specialist is brought in to support specific areas, ensuring the work gets the expertise it needs without overstretching the engagement.
The result is senior-level operational leadership from the start, with the right specialist support available when the engagement calls for it.
